Student Success Statement
“Take care of yourself and everything else will fall
Into place”
Coach David Diamont

This statement is saying that if we do things that won’t cause ourselves any harm, then everything will be a lot easier. If we do things that are bad for ourselves like smoking or drinking, then we are going to end up at a point that will cause us a lot of problems. If you want to avoid all those problems then the simplest thing to do is to always choose the right.

Setting goals and objectives can be personal or business techniques that can be learnt. You can develop inner strength to succeed if you apply yourself to doing just that; that will enable you to recover from setbacks more easily.

Text Box: Be wise- never use drugs or alcohol
Drugs are things that, no one who wants to stay healthy should use. They deteriorate your brain. Some people may argue that alcohol is not bad since it is not a drug. Now there are two things wrong with that. First of all if it affects the way you think and act and process things while using it then, it is a drug. Second of all alcohol can cause severe damage to your body. It can cause liver damage, brain damage, and it can even kill you. Besides all the physical damage both can cause to you there are also mental damage. It can cause you to go into depression. You may get addicted to it and it may cause you to do things that you would never have done without it. Both also decrease performance in school. If you want to be successful one of the easiest things to do is, never use drugs or drink alcohol. If you say that you are not a person that cares about themselves physically then at least think of your children. You can develop alcoholism which can cause problems for babies. If you want to be a responsible parent then set the example. In general nothing good will happen under the effects of drugs or alcohol. Alcohol and drugs can ruin friendships and relationships. Under the effects of drugs and alcohol you might do things that will cause you to lose your freedom. You might end up in jail for years. You might lose respect from your peers and it might seriously affect your ability to be hired. Why use something that takes away from your ability to learn, gives you health problems, and greatly lowers you chance to be a successful person?

Acquiring the habits of highly successful students
Part 11

Whether studying or on general life, planning is an imperative skill. Here, we must strictly set the hours for studying, and should promote regularly in doing so. Don’t put off your studies to the last moment (just before the test), because n that moment you will be feeling stress and pressure, and both factor will prove disturbing for your learning, that is the high price of procrastination. During the exam, it is important to forget about panic and stress. And if you are planning for your thesis, you may find this post useful. Another planning tip for you to use when you are assigned a homework, try so solve it as quickly as possible, several days before the requires date, but don’t try to complete it perfectly and don’t submit it immediately. I recommend doing homework early, but deliver it near the last possible day leaving time for revision.

Highly Successful students
Part 10

·        They prefer tasks with some degree of difficulty and novelty, which stimulate their learning skills.
·        They don’t apply the simple criteria Success-fail to their learning. Remember, they are focused into the learning process.
·        They know how to handle groups
·        Finally they work with passion

Other chief habit is asking questions. We have to establish hypothesis and establish concrete, realistic goals. After reading any text we have to ask several different questions related to its content, in order to verify if we have completely understood the text. It is also important to try to relate such text and other areas of our knowledge. Again linking ideas and concepts is a habit of highly successful students so, link

Part 9

They concentrate on the process of solving the task and understanding the involved ideas. Of course we are interested in getting good results, but the process is more important. A result is a very brief moment in life, while learning to develop a skill is a process that will last a life time.
They interpret and analyze errors as a way of increasing their learning, i.e., they try to learn from their mistakes. This way they see errors and failures as opportunities.
They look for the required information in several channels (books, journals, newspapers, experts, Internet, and so on.)They consult experts and teachers frequently.
This action provides a new perspective about the studied topics.

Acquiring the Habits of Highly Successful Students
Part 7

Everyone wants to be successful in life, but where are the keys to success? Do we have to go out and search for those keys, or do we have the potential already within ourselves.  When we begin to examine life, we can see that it is divided into two aspects—life within and life without, internal and external life—and we can see that these aspects are of equal importance. Even if we have renounced the world, gone far away from civilization, and we live in the wilderness doing nothing but meditation, we cannot ignore external life. We still have to see that we can eat, do our ablutions, and perform our practices on time. So life in the internal world is as important as life in the external world.
