Alex Schwazer
Alex schwazer was the gold medal champion the Olympic
race walk. He was later banned for using drugs. He stated he felt relieved that
he was caught. In his own words, “I couldn't take it anymore”. He gave a tear filled press conference
admitting his use of illegal substances.
Reflection
Alex Schwazer chose do the wrong and for that
he was banned for the Olympics. The good thing is that he recognizes that he
did wrong. His conscience was hurting him. Having to live with the fact that he
cheated to win a gold medal must have been hard on him. Perhaps if he didn't use the drugs he might have still won it but now he will never know. If
anything he would have been able to say he did his best and did it honestly and
fairly.
