Reflection

I believe that the point Marden wants to make through his statement is, to be great one has to be concentrated. Meaning, when you set a goal you should be focused on it and refrain from making bad decisions that can lead you away from your goal. . For example if your goal is to be a doctor, stay away from drugs because they will only hinder your goal.
