What Mr. Haymore is trying to get us to recognize is that even if you are not a professional, but if you play an a good honest game then you should feel just as proud of yourself. And you should feel much more proud if you did it legit mentally and not through underhand means. For if you become a professional but you do it while underhanded means, weather you bribe someone or just don’t play fair, then you are not a True professional and you will have to live with that in your conscience . If you are going to commit yourself to a sport do it Right and you will go far.
